my weekend with Bethany...

No, Bethany is not a girl... I went to the College I used to go to for the weekend...it was a great weekend! I said something(s) i wish i had never said and did something(s) i wish i could rewind and do over again but on the whole it was great...
i stayed at my friend Dave's house one night and in the Bethany motel the next with my friendDan King...
I met some new people and saw some old friends (and some young ones) that I hadn't seen in awhile...there too many to list but know that I love and miss you all and want to come back to visit very much...
The above was my favourite part about being there I could barely contain my excitement as i drove that last few kilometers (which I drove at a slightly faster then the limit speed)...it was my first time out there since graduation and people were glad to see me...
A lot of people seemed distraught that i was wearing shoes... I miss my nothing but sandal wearing days but when I had to be out side for more than two minutes my feet got cold and now I have to wear dress shoes at work...
they felt I conformed and I agree with them (next I'll be buying an Ipod)... but I already posted about conformity...
I decided at some point that my word of the weekend was frolicking...first a friend of mine used when describing how he proposed to his girlfriend and then the speaker used it describing Adam and Eve... I'm awarding double the points for whoever uses it in a sentence when I hear/read it during the next week
For the record I never actually did give my phone number to the the speaker

I learned many things over the weekend the following are some of them in not particular order

I learned:
...hair grows faster when your in love
...there is more to life the being ridiculously good looking
...there is nothing more important in this life then having ridiculously good looking children
...people actually read this blog
...several of my friends are dating each other for the first time
...two of my friends are dating again!...(though I may have know that before)
...Dialing a cell phone whilst driving is not a good idea
...when you get in accident get their insurance information also
...people were warned not to eat with me during my first (and probably second year) at school
...my friend Matt worked at a furniture store for about a week
...a new song from Jamie and Matt they told me about this band that I can remember the name of )...ahem

That was the theme for the weekend...our speaker (a girl named brandy) talked about some of the definitions of broken and some of the Biblical examples and why God would place in a broken state...amidst joking about her accepting phone numbers and dental hygienists not being hugged by their daddy's she made some good point that I'm sure struck home to some of the youth their.
I thought about my life and some of the ways that i could be broken or am broken... some of the things I learned have been on a recent theme of better money management, stewardship and as all ways a more better and deeper relationship with God...
I think I'm doing well though. I'm still talking with God and reading my Bible and going to church. Its possible that some of the areas in life where I'm being broken are to strengthen me and that relationship.
