IN RECENT NEWS:
I went on a random trip to Calgary yesterday. Me and my friend Troy hung out and talked about life, love, and why...and music to that was sweet. Me and my friend Sarah Smith hung out for a few hours and talked about (among other things)our decisions to go to camp. Hearing other peoples opinions, decision making processes and thoughts about the subject puts it into perspective some. It also gives more things to consider.
The question I asked frequently at throughout October (whilst making my decision) was quoted from The Clash 'Should I stay or should I go'? Now I'm asking a the same question. Should I STAY living with my parents and working at London drugs? or should I GO back to camp and spend the summer there?
My recent posts have been about this subject of camp and I hope no one is getting bored but camp and my sermon have been foremost on my mind...
IN OTHER NEWS:
My sermon preparation has been going well ...in a week today I will be standing in front of a congregation of Gods people and I will give them the finger! ... I'm kidding, but it would get your attention and address the topic at hand ...I'm speaking about anger in case you didn't know...If a preacher gave me the finger I'd catch him out on the street later and Hit him with the bus!....
I wouldn't do that but I would be angry and thus the plausible introduction to my sermon....
OPINIONS AND CANDID COLUMNS:
I don't like daylight savings time. I always thought that changing the time back and forth was stupid...It seemed to me to be to be a futile effort to travel time and bring back the youth that we lost or something like that... Someone tried to explain it to me once having to do with farmers and etc. But I couldn't (and still can't) understand why it was/is necessary... I mean we just switch it back in like six months any ways...It really cause problems that could be avoided... people get up early and are ridiculously early for school or work and thus their day is spoiled because they realize that they could have stayed in bed for a another hour... then when we 'spring ahead' people are late and get fired from their jobs because they showed up to work an hour late. I say we get rid of it and let people go about there lives without having to worry about the hassle of setting their clocks.
Disclaimer: I don't mean to make fun of farmers... In fact I have one of my favourite jokes prepared... and its about a farmer...
"He's OUTstanding in his field"
IN ENTERTAINMENT:
1. Happy Belated Birthday to my long lost brother!...(not my actual brother)
2. I hope my reference to 'If the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise' and 'The Legend of Chin' don't go unnoticed
3. There was very few things that I liked about living in Saskatchewan ...one was the fact that for some reason unknown to me they don't do daylight savings time.
4. I purchased the new Relient k c.d. and am greatly enjoying it...
IN CLOSING:
I say to all of you (and you know who you are)
Tune it at eleven for further details
and...
'We should buy Jerseys...cause we make a great team...'

you were in calgary and you didn't see me? we could have talked about life and love too. just for that i'm calling you lukie. ha ha:) anyway, miss you,
dorita.
Luke...the train game. Oh, it's wonderful. There are 3 versions, Germany, Europe and N.America. You get cards, and build railroads and other such fun things. 2-5 players (but still a great 2 player game). Runs at about $50...though I'm sure you could find it cheaper on the 'net. Apparently there's an online version, though I've never played. We've got the German version, it's called Marklin I think...the name of German trains perhaps? Anyways, it's fabulous.
Blessings as you prepare to speak God's word to people.
