I've never been to Alaska, but i can tell you this...

Currently I'm sitting in a hotel lobby taking advantage of the free Internet having just partaken in the free continental breakfast. The hotel is situated approximately 1 mile from the Iowa state line. So for those of you not up on which state is where that puts me in Nebraska. Me and Josh have driven through several states so far. (Josh has done all of the driving so far which is good for me cause I don't really want to.) Montana, Wyoming and south Dakota, and now Nebraska still to come Iowa and finally Illinois.
We have about eight more hours of driving and then we arrive at CORNER STONE!!! It's an incredible blessing to be able to do this. Every morning and several times a day I remember and am shocked at the realization that I'm on my way to this giant music festival. We have been trying to do this for years and just never managed to do it. Now it's actually happening.

We have been incredibly blessed so far with the sights we've seen and safety we have enjoyed. I wish I could post some pictures for we have taken some good ones but alas I don't think the hotel staff would be impressed with me if i started plugging things in to the back of their computer.
We came pretty darn close to hitting a deer of some sort the first night. We must have missed by about half a foot. We also drove through the bad lands of South Dakota which are an incredible testament to the power of God, and his creative use of the wind. The hoodoos are quite neat. We also took a small detour and visited Mount Rushmore. Where four former presidents of this country are carved into the side of a Mountain. We have also driven by several towns of amusing names such as Gregory (my brothers name). We also drove withing 15 miles of Springfield. I suggested we go but it was late thus we continued to where we are now (Siox city Iowa/Nebraska.)
Well it is now one hour till check out and I desire some more rest before we hit the road again. so until the next time (I have no idea when that'll be)
If you want to pray or continue praying
pray for safety and good times for us both.

That's so exciting! Glad to hear you're taking lots of pictures and that it's been safe and blessed. Always good to hear. I have to say, I suspected it was you writing on the camp blog because of the fabulous spelling and grammar. I just thought it was funny, no offense meant. How long does Cornerstone last? Hm, I wonder if they'll have my dploma in large print. Probably not, but you never know... Braille?
