Hello all faithful, and unfaithful, readers of "The Project" it is to you, the people that make this website possible, that I dedicate this post to... It seems to me that I don't post quite as regularly as in January. A week will go by between posts ...and possibly longer... There are many factors contributing to this, they include reasons such as: 1. The apparent lack of things to write about- its not that the novelty has worn off- I still enjoy blogging ... but I still don't want this to be a blog of only updating every one on current events of my life...plus my life isn't that exciting ...on that note sometimes I have to much to say- there's several things I want to start as a regular part of this blog but there not always possible-questions rage through my mind when I consider adding new things 'do I have enough readers' ? would people think this is dumb? etc. etc. 2. My business- I work every day this week plus I went to a concert the other night (more on that someday...maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday...) 3. My laziness - sometimes I just don't feel like doing anything... so I don't 4. My inability to articulate my thoughts- it's sometimes difficult to put what I've been learning and thinking about in to words...
Today I have several things I want to share- they are numbered for your convenience and here is an index... also for your convenience
INDEX:
# 1-my blog and links to it
# 2-comments on a previous post
# 3- a TRUE story that happened at London drugs recently
# 4- my sermons and etc.
# 5- random!
# 6- promises of things still to come...
NUMBER 1.
My blog is still gaining popularity
-there are links on 'Lacey's', 'Vicky's' (both of these were there last time I just forgot to mention them) and Kendall and Sabrina's
-a youth pastor in Hepburn commented on my horde story and so did a friend who is in Thailand (apparently Thailand is less fun then the adventures I seem to be having)
NUMBER TWO.
The story in my last post was entirely fictional...even some of the facts were skewered-The door I can see is the 'in door'...though we do have three 'drop proof' cameras and I do wish I could juggle
NUMBER THREE:
This is a story that happened at work...
There I was walking toward the ipod to change the music when this little boy,- about age 4 and I'm sure people who use this word would describe him as cute,- came up toward me... he stood between me and the counter- behind which my co worker stood. He stared at us for a second or two while I searched and found the man I figured to be his father, over by the cell phones. The little boy then announced his presence to us by asking 'excuse me have you seen my mom?' I smiled and thought that it would give us something to do (because we were rather bored) if we found out her name and paged her(announce her name over the intercom)...my coworker asked what is her name after I suggested that we could page her . The little boy thought for a second or two and announced that his moms name was 'Mom.' I and my Co-worker both laughed and said that we hadn't seen her. Then his dad wandered over and after making sure it was the boys father I went back to changing the music....later i wandered into the Audio visual department where the boy his brother and his father were sitting on the floor watching the movie that was playing. They staff there had put the closed captioning on and turned the sound up so they could understand what was going on. The little boy turned to me and asked. Have you seen her yet? I said no...-I learned moments later (when 'mom' walked up) that I had seen her... I just didn't know it was the boys mother because of the lack of description the boy gave to us)
It was a memorable experience and I felt it was blog worthy and hopefully most people are saying 'awww how cute' or some variant... E.G. the slightly more manly 'cool story bro...'
NUMBER FOUR:
I still have yet to find a place to preach and have only 4 Sundays left to do it ...I'm going to be calling a few pastors tomorrow ...I would appreciate prayer on that matter A. that i would be able to find somewhere and B. that I would 'feel worthy' to be preaching(see 'this week the trend post' post) and last but not least C. that I would make time to prepare my sermon
NUMBER FIVE:
The other day I saw a rather neat thing- it was a pill for pregnant people to take that had a little (but fairly detailed) drawing of a pregnant women on it...
Are you pregnant? Do you need help?
NUMBER SIX:
I recently made some purchases/received some things in the mail that I felt were note worthy even though they are mainly an update on my life and venting....
I have been learning some things and succeeded in putting them into words, sentences and paragraphs I had them in this post originally but it was rather long...
It's been fun for me hopefully for you also
